Slow in, fast out
Typically, new or novice racers coming to a new track are eager to get that super fast lap in right from the start.
Just remember that going faster does not always give you a faster lap.
Especially when cornering. Slow in, fast out is the trick. Start your first few laps with a slower entry speed. Then try to come out faster.
Most of the time you will overdrive going into the corner, which will result in you missing the apex or going wide on the exit because of all the understeer.
Start with the Porsche, for example. This car will teach you from the start that you have to come into the corner slower than any other car.
